On the 2th day of our adventure on 30 August, 2023: With a 380-kilometer journey ahead, approximately 4 hours according to Google Maps, we decided to set out in the morning to make the most of our visit to Belgrade, Serbia. Everything went as planned, and we reached our accommodation at 9 in the morning. After a breakfast ordered at the accommodation, we began our exploration. The location we found on Booking was centrally situated, so we parked our car and continued on foot.

Our first destination was the Belgrade Botanical Garden. It was a delightful experience for the children as they got to see fish and enjoy the play area. We then ventured to Saint Mark’s Cathedral in Belgrade, followed by a visit to the Museum of Illusions, which the children thoroughly enjoyed.

After a pleasant time spent at the museum, we headed towards Belgrade Fortress, passing through the old city center and continuing along the promenade with a view of Belgrade, ultimately reaching the statue of The Victor. This tourist spot is truly unique, offering a perspective where the Danube and Sava rivers converge.

Along the way, we made some small souvenir purchases, although card payments were not as readily accepted. We successfully explored Belgrade Fortress and the promenade, providing a fabulous view of Belgrade, both during the day and at night when we decided to return to our accommodation.

If you’re traveling by car, please note that parking spaces are not free, and wheel clamping is not typically used. However, there is an available app for mobile payments. The cost for a day of parking was 8 euros.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Belgrade, as it is a modern city with ample space and, at the same time, boasts pleasant historical tourist attractions.
