On the 16th day of our adventure on 13 September 2023, our destination was Sofia, Bulgaria—the final visit of our journey. We departed after exploring the old town in Skopje, where we also had breakfast. It’s a beautiful city, and it felt like we were in no hurry to leave. The journey was relatively easy, taking about 4 hours, and we safely reached our centrally located accommodation, which had a self-check-in system. I must admit, it’s more enjoyable when check-in is done by a person.

After settling into our accommodation, we went for a walk. Feeling quite refreshed, Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, greeted us with its cleanliness.

We visited the National Palace of Culture, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia, St. George Rotunda Church, National Assembly of Bulgaria, and Banya Bashi Mosque. We also stopped to eat on Vitosha Boulevard, Sofia, Bulgaria—the old town of Sofia. It was very serene, and even at a late hour, it was delightful for the family to stroll around. Tomorrow, we’ll be back home. What a wild adventure! Thanks for a trouble-free journey with no incidents, and all the accommodations booked through Booking.com, which were quite a few, were extraordinary. We covered 4000 km without any issues and arrived safely.
