Summer 2023 and the 3 weeks adventure Durres – Albania
On the 14th day of our adventure on 11 September 2023, we left Tirana, Albania, with our destination set for Durres, Albania. Durres, our final tourist destination, is renowned for its beaches and family-friendly activities. The journey covered 40 kilometers and took approximately 50 minutes, with a portion of it on the highway. We arrived safely at our accommodation, although we were less thrilled with the room that was provided.
Our primary objective was to enjoy a beautiful day at the beach, where we discovered the finest sand on the shore. The ease of wading into the water made this beach perfect for both children and parents, as the waves were gentle, allowing kids to play in the water with fewer worries.
For lunch, we dined at Restorant Piceri TETOVA, where the food was exceptionally good, and the service was prompt. Since there weren’t many sightseeing opportunities in Durres, our evening stroll was brief. We returned to our accommodation for some well-deserved rest.
