Our winter holiday adventure began on December 22, 2023. We hopped into the car and departed from Bucharest at 6 in the morning, covering a smooth 568 km to our accommodation—a charming 3-bedroom apartment booked on Booking.com. Nestled in the heart of Arad, the apartment had all the necessary amenities, exuding a cozy atmosphere.

After a brief rest, we ventured out to find a restaurant and decided on MORRO Fast Food, highly rated for its delicious cuisine on Google.

As the day unfolded, we took a leisurely stroll through the Christmas market in central Arad, situated behind the Ioan Slavici Classical Theater. Here, we indulged in traditional Romanian dishes, including sarmale with mamaliguta and spicy peppers, which proved to be tempting.

Continuing our exploration, we reached Arad City Hall, where we discovered a beautifully adorned Christmas tree, capturing the festive spirit. A visit to the “Sfânta Treime” Cathedral followed, and we concluded our day with a delightful stop at Patisserie, placintarie Special SRL. Here, we purchased honey cakes and chocolate pastries for the children, savoring the treats.

The journey concluded with an appreciation of the architecture of the Catholic Church “Sf. Anton de Padova” before heading back to our accommodation.
